Fight this to the death.

I know, I got 3 speeding tickets in 4 days in California, when I was 20 years old, and the DMV got really mad, and my father dropped me off his family insurance.

One of those tickets was for going 27 mph in a 25 mph zone on Russell Blvd in front of the UC Davis campus. The entire town was a speed trap then, and the city's budget was based on traffic ticket revenue, and the Judge never went to college and hated University students.

Check out www.stantheradarman.com

I am using him now to fight a bunch of speeding tickets I got, he is expensive, but I think he is worth it. He has a good reputation on the internet for getting rid of tickets in California in Court. Knows the legal tricks to make them go away.

Yea if I don't fight this my insurance is going to be insane. Id like to keep both cars insured (right now its 80 dollars a month each) but theres no way im going to be able to afford that after this. Im going to have to drop the 300d.

So because someone hit you, they are not letting you drive from May 14 to June 14? Thats bizzare.

Adding to odd pull-over incidents:

My fiance and I were out driving in her Rav4 on Saturday night, going along the back road of a huge mall parking lot....there were NO cars anywhere, and it was dark....she went past one of those short stop signs in the dark....so 150ft later near the end of the service road....flashing lights! It just so happens a cop was sitting in the dark in the parking lot watching this random stop sign. It doesn't even make sense.....talk about watching something UN-important....there was not a single car for thousands of feet where we were....and the sign is too far over from the road, and you can't even see it properly in the dark. He says "do you know you blew a stop sign back there?" Us: No Him "A lot of pedestrians walk around here so we're cracking down on the stop signs in the parking lot" He took BOTH our licenses (I wasn't even driving....)...and let her off with a "Verbal Warning" Dumb. My last pull over was for "too loud a car" and now hers is for a stop sign in the farthest dark corner of a mall parking lot. Insanity. Do the cops really have nothing else to do? It seems like they hang out in the least-likely places to have a problem, but leave the murderer-locales deserted.

When he said "a lot of pedestrians walk around here" I wanted to say "what would a pedestrian be doing walking by that stop sign, its 3,500 feet from the mall, on a service road, with no sidewalk, and a 10 foot fence next to the road.....if a pedestrian is out walking over here, they're hiding something." It really made no sense. Oh well. Its just so annoying though. They should be patrolling places where there are people actually doing bad things. !

Truthfully, I hate cops. Hate em. Sorry if anyone here is a cop, but I probably hate you too. I got pulled over by two cruisers who had nothing to do a week ago. 10 at night, I wasn't doing anything wrong. They went past me, I looked in my rear view mirror and saw them turning around and thought "god dammit here we go theres my license for 6 months" ( as I figured they would somehow **** me over for something I didn't even know I was doing). So he comes up and asks me what I was doing. I said "driving". he said "from where". I say "well sir, Im just driving home before curfew. I was out looking for a few friends to hang out with and no one was home". And he says "really? Thats really weird. Are you sure thats what you were doing?" I say "yeah I was just driving home." I guess I looked blown or something because he asked me if I had been smoking marijuana and asked if I had any in the car. maybe thats just something they ask everyone?. Anyway he checked my license and let me go.

I guess I'm just sick of living in constant fear of someone who's purpose is to protect me. Ive had nothing but negativity from police, even thought Ive never done anything wrong.

One thing thats OK about this is that I have a $2000 road bike that, with my current out of shapeness, can take me in a 100 mile round trip in good time. So at least I don't have to walk anywhere. And i was thinking the other day that with all the money I save on fuel I can probably by the rest of the stuff I need to do an intercooler on the sd

Yeah I saw that. They would have probably even given you another ticket for no seat belt, like smashing your head on the windshield wasn't enough. Or like how totaling my lovely car and almost killing myself or others wasnt enough they had to give me a ticket

^^^Just for the record; I am standing first in line to buy that car. It is maybe the best example of a time capsule mint condition W123 diesel I have seen around here for years.

Everyone else, the line forms on the right.

AND NO PUSHING!!!!

If you want to find all the cops
They're hanging out in the donut shop
They sing and dance (oh way oh)
They spin the clubs cruise down the block

All the Japanese with their yen
The party boys call the Kremlin
And the Chinese know (oh way oh)
They walk the line like Egyptian

All the cops in the donut shop say
Way oh way oh, way oh way oh
Walk like an Egyptian
Walk like an Egyptian

... nobody is gonna ding this guy for creating a thread to finish the story on a previous thread???
OK, I will. link this to the original thread! ...
now., I hate cops too. they are no longer for protection. they are for insurance paperwork and to add money to the politicians.
CSI has a place. NOTHING ELSE is worth a ding on the police force. traffic cops are the exception. I want somebody who understands traffic flow on the scene when the signal light goes out.

Funny Story

I was driving home from my GF's house and stopped at a stop sign to light a cigar for the ride. A police car screeches up next to me lights flashing. The cop gets out and says "What's that your smokin?" I say a cigar and show it to him.
You could see the dissapointment in his face. He said it looked like I was smokin crack & he apologised for hassling me.
We talked for a minute or two then he rode off. I didn't care I thought it was funny. He was actually pretty cool after he realised I wasn't a crackhead.

Wow, thats so typical. At least he apologized.

The cop that pulled her over at the stop sign was very friendly, but its still annoying. The one that pulled me over for my "car too loud" was a female. She came up to my window and said "License and registration" in an unpleasant tone. Thats it, didn't tell me what I did wrong, her name, or anything. I had to ASK her why she pulled me over. Her: "your car is too loud". She then lectures me on how I need to "take it in" to have it looked at. To which I said "it was professionally installed at Lentz half a year ago, and this is what it sounds like, I have the receipt for it." She had a jaw-hanging expression, and let me go.

I got pulled over in the G500. I am 20, dress according to the occasion, and when hanging out with Nik and Garrett, I usually wear a greasy shirt, as many of the Sacramento guys know, hanging out may burst randomly into working on a car...

So I was in the G500, wearing a kind of nasty shirt, and got pulled over. Not speeding, not doing anything illegal, just driving down the main street on my way to Niks house. Anyway, the cop came up to the window and told me nice car, and asked if it was stolen..... I was thinking "Are you F'in serious.... I have the key..." I replied politely, "Yes sir....".....

He checked the registration and my ID, and held me there for like 30 minutes, questioning me, "Whos the owner" "Where is it garaged" "Is thie stolen"......

Anyway, after 30 minutes, I finally was let go, no warnings, no tickets, no problems, all just making sure that a 20 year old kid was not stealing a G500...

You would think with the PHOTO ID on your license + your name on the papers with the car....would have been convincing enough. I'd have been mad.

No he pulled out in front of a truck and caused an accident, it was his fault. Its a mistake any driver can make.

It happend to me several years ago when an old lady in a Saturn didn't stop for a stop sign, she got a failure to yeild ticket. However I don't know why you would lose your license for that, I suspect we are not geting the whole story. He must have had a few other things on it.

In the end I had to sue here to recover damages for my car when her insurance company refused to pay.

I have never had any trouble with the police.
