just out of curiousity, do the USA cars not have rear fog lamps? my 240D has them, and when i was trying to turn them on in my 300D i relized it didnt have any. is that just a euro thing? also my 240D(euro) has the clear front fogs also. its nice at night case when u turn the brights on, the fogs still stay on

The photo I wish I had was of the über-streched, black W124 with a giant police light bar on top. It was in valet parking at the Beijing International Hotel. My B-I-L snapped the pic and then left his damned camera in the airplane when we flew to Shang hai.

Here's a big-ass S600 parked in front of the cultural museum in Xi'an:

What are those holes in the back bumper? Oil slick nozzles?

The Euro W123 wagons have a rear fog light on the left and a back-up light on the right. The Euro lights are larger than the US spec back-up lights and won't fit into the US bumpers. They are also not DOT approved so must be for off road use only. The rear fog light works by pulling the light switch out two clicks. This also illuminates the little orange center in the light switch to remind you that the rear fog light is on.

Boostnbenz has a DIY thread that tells how to switch leads in the fuse box so the fogs will come on with just the running lights or the low beams.

You see asphalt on the expressways (Snelweg in Holland) and on some of the Provincial roads but most of the local roads and neighborhoods are all brick or stone pavers of some sort. The stone and brick last forever, they just relay the stones when the road gets too lumpy.

I am almost done with my limestone patio. It will last for the rest of my life.

The Europeans build things to last. The average house will last 300 years. The Roman roads have been there 2000+ years. When the paint gets old on our houses we tear them down and build a new one.

Hey but it has a rear wiper. I don't recall seeing rear wipers on US spec wagons.

They are there.

The M.B mudflaps are just run of the mill dealer parts department ones, nothing spectacular. If I could get a hold of the car, they'd be in my trash barrel as soon as I pulled into the driveway. The car woud barely even have time to settle into park, before I had a screwdriver in my hand to take them off. As far as the car itself is concerned, well, we ALL want it very badly so it seems. I love it, and the way it's built. It's very cool, and sporty, yet subtle, and traditional, ina verynice way. I almost find it sorta cute, in it's own way. I don't want to wait for Santa, I want it now.

So, I guess that you took the mudflaps off of your Lambo too?
