Hey all. My 79 300sd has been acting up recently, and was to the point where it would not go over 20 mph. Bad stuttering - lack of power. Felt like a fuel issue. I had replaced the primary fuel filter a month ago which did help some. So I am thinking, well it probably needs the secondary filter replaced and I should be good to go.

So before work, I go outside to do a quick secondary filter change. Put on the new one, primed. Car started right up. After about 30 seconds it stuttered and died. Tried starting backup, and it sounds like it wants to, but will never auctually start. I really needed to get to work so I went as far as to spray a little wd-40 in the air cleaner, still nothing. Finally had to leave and get a ride.

In short: my car would not go over 20 mph but never had a hard time starting. Changed secondary fuel filter, now it wont turn over at all.

Any help would be appreciated. Ive got about an hour of light when I get home to try and fix this issue. Thanks!!!!!!
