Refurbish Seats on W126?

I was just looking at the DIY repair section, and there was one about replacing the horsehair with those foam noodles for pools, it was labled:

W123 seat - replaced horsehair with noodles

Can I follow that same procedure with my W126 car as well? Or is the procedure different?
