YEEE HAW! Euro Lights!

My wifie announced to me that I could have a couple hundred bucks for an anniversary present...I'm glad I got her converted to diesel!

Any who, I just bid on and won a pair of Bosch Euro's. The seller claims that the cut the wires about 8 inches back from the pin sockets, so the sockets are coming with!

I'll post pics when I get them installed.

I'm buying a passenger side one from Winmutt as well. Now I just need to find another driver side one and I'll have a full spare set...

If I can't find a driver side light, I will part with the spare.

I've had the glass break on mine before... cost $75 for a new piece. Its expensive, but its a whole lot cheaper than newer cars with plastic lenses (~$400!!).

Only problem is that now one side looks newer than the other

Can you clean the other side to make them sort of match?

My Nissan Truck came with the Pathfinder package, so that meant composite lights. Well, over the yearsm the seals went bad, and let water seep in, then of course, green algae grew. They are clean and resealsed now, but what a pain, especially since Nissan made them to not come apart. Heat and coersion won the day this time.

$75 for a new glass lens is not that bad, considering, and the glass won't get milky like the plastic.

It does get pitted pretty well and I think thats the part you cant clean. Would be interesting to see what the DIY epoxy stuff for widnshield "bullet holes" would do for filling those in.

Grats on the lights man. The dayrunners will turn heads.

How do the day runners work? I know you are talking about the 'city' lights. I did see a day runner kit that can be installed.

Search around there is a wiring diagram you have to follow. The light will def not "bolt in". I actually will be doing the same this weekend I think. And installing my euro bumpers with fact hitch.

Euro bumpers, too! Lucky!

The Euro's are coming with about 8 in of wire before the socket where the seller cut them, and I was told the sockets and pins are intact, so I will have a physical view for changing over the electrical.

Since they do not just "bolt in", what mods do I have to make?

Thanks!

I tried... but it didn't really make any difference. It seems the glass itself is a slight yellow tint plus all the pitting... One of these days I'll break down and replace it, but the driver's one keeps getting hit by stuff and breaking completely.

Just the rewiring. Other than that its pretty stock. I have a euro rear with a bit of a large bump in it I'd part for cheap.

Mine did exactly that. The only thing is that the amber corner lights don't come on with the "parking lights" on... instead the city lights come on. Exact connector match and everything. I have a W116 though, so YMMV.

Also, if you have a W116 you need to kill the cold air intake... it won't work with the euros. (doesn't make any sense, i know, but the euros block it).
