Oil capacity in 1979 240D?

How much oil does the 1979 240D hold? Manual is confusing...

6 quarts off the top of my head...

Yep, 6 quarts for most 240D's. There may be some variations depending on oil cooler or lack thereof.

thanks for the response fellows! I did a search on this question in another forum and came up with 6.8 qts.

My 77 US model took a little over 6 quarts and it had an oil cooler. My 84 Euro car took 6 quarts even.
