Maybe not all stores offer the same things. There are 3 within a 5-8 mile radius of me, and 2 of them have all the stuff, while the smaller store doesn't carry quite as many loner options......
The vac pump I used this last time was brand new, still sealed in the box. I had to remove all packing and tie wraps, add the oil, and off I went.

I'll go check that out... My compressors survived 20 mins of being a vac pump, so I'm pretty sure I can use it.. A real set of gauges would be nice though, instead of my rigged up connections using the HF pump's R134a connector unscrewed and a bunch of NPT fittings and hose barbs attached... But I'm going with Enviro-Safe for my refrigerant, so I'm not so sure autozone would like me contaminating their stuff..

FYI, I could only get R-134A guages from Autozone. I had to borrow a church buddy's old R-12 guages......
I got A.Z.'s guages to check the pressures on the wagon (Freeze-12 with R-134A fittings ), but didn't want to loose the freon that it would take to fill the guage hoses. It is working OK for now, just 5-8 degrees warmer than the 240 with R-12....

I'll probably stick with my 8in hose and can tap then, I barely bought enough ref to fill my system... (17oz, need 16) And I figure I'll end up with almost exactly 16 after whats still left in the cans..
