Thanks, Matt L - I'm going to move this aux. fan discussion to a new thread.
New twist on the no-start + flashing red/green lights issue: Car started right up this morning with no flashing lights on the RV mirror. Turned it off, then went to start it again a few minutes later. This time, the red and green lights flashed (oh, s***, I thought), but guess what--the engine started anyway! How could that be? I thought the flashing lights meant the lockout system is operating. |

07/18/2008. Bloody hell! What does it take for a result to be posted. I'm getting really po'ed with those who post problems and get feed back, but don't have the courtesy to let everyone know what the fix was.
I was member on iATN for a long time and if you didn't reply with a fix for your post you got banned from posting again. Can't we bring that rule here ?.... .

Just to add, the crank position sensor fault (not working when at operating temperature) was definitely the cause of this non start when warmed up issue on my vehicle.
(W202 C250TD estate with OM606 .962 swap). Engine would die after 20 minutes of running, and would not start at all until cold, then repeat. ECU detects bad crank reading and does not open fuel solenoid on the side of IP. |
