I'm guessing there is not too many, out of all the folks on this site...that if you checked their dip stick, you'd find clean oil. Just a guess dirty oil doesn't indicate a neglected MB diesel.

True, the Unimog was made more for farm work.

For the cars, they'll run all day at well over legal US speed limits. Speed will shorten their lives but they'll run flat-out without damage, they're not Toyotas.

OOO yeaaaa, here comes Big Smokin', Big Pimpin' in his Big Mercedes-Benz 190!
I love how some people think that just because they have a Mercedes, they are instantly "IT."
It's not just having the Mercedes, it's loving it for what it is!

Not putting ricer pipes on the poor thing! ... And Gawd, those turn-up tips get to me.

rofl, I love the shift knob. Good luck with the conversion!

Ahh, gotcha. That renders my entire post void.

Ruben, the 300D looks incredible! It will definitely benefit from the 5-speed.

I sold them for drug money...just kidding

I sold them to buy these projector headlights that i liked but when the rear end suspension crapped out on me the money went to buying the parts.

Ill get the new headlights when i finish all the suspension and transmission work.

Quiet you. W201 is one of the best MBs they ever made

Minus a lot of pounds of weight = way better handling

If I were a shorter guy, ... I would've kept my 190D turbo. Much more fun to drive than any other Mercedes sedan I've had.

However, IMO if it isn't diesel it isn't Mercedes (except the 6.9), how does that work for ya?
