after the bolts were out of the flex disc the shaft was still very tight up against the disc. i tried prying forward with a huge flathead screwdriver to no avail. it was my fault for not raising up the rear of the car. but i don't have any more time so i'll just take it up to the mb shop. lesson learned...now i gotta sell this extra bearing and mount i received by mistake.
