Don't forget to have your windshield stretched every winter and while you're at it change the air in your tires.

You see I am an urban metrosexual and I went to Bornoftherich College and have an MBA and I got my masters from Dadsgotbucks University..the real reason I bought this car was to get one up on my tennis buddy at work, because his looks brand new and its got that Ivy League look...anyway I'm an Investment Banker so I guess I'll pay some buddy to do all this work. after all I dont want to get my nails dirty

Carrameow, that last post scared me a little! You have been in the sh##ty of Seattle to long! I would have thought that your post about sore knees and swelling of the legs would have been enough! Why do you think I moved to Arizona? Couldn't stand it anymore!

I'll drink to that!

Someone needs to make up a drink called a "Timing Belt." Similar to the "Phillips Screwdriver" (milk of magnesia and vodka). Suggestions?

Seriously, folks, has any Mercedes engine had a timing belt or did and do they all have a chain?

In all seriousness they never had timing belts, in fact before thy had OHC engines, they didn't even have timing chains. They were gear driven.

I wish they were still push rods. the valves are easier to adjust and quicker. with gear driven nothing gets out of adjustment much. never had to measure gear stretch or replaced a gear.

Never that fear of a borken chain or belt.
