Which window weatherstriping do I need for an 83 240D?
My weatherstripping is totally worn out. I don't want to pull some off the car to measure the dimensions, because that'd leave me with no elemental protection and here in central Florida, it's raining almost every day and very hard.
Which of these do I want to get for the car? 83 240D Hopefully someone has some idea. http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-VehicleBrowse/s-10101/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2009944/p-2009944/N-111+1983+200729699+600003813/c-10101/reviewflag-1#review |

Are you looking for the weatherstripping around the doors? Window channels? My suggestion is click on the "Buy Parts" tab on the top of the page. Roy or Phil will have the exact weatherstrip you need for your 83 240D. You could also Google search for MB parts from other suppliers. JC Whitney is a generic product.

Good point, I'll buy em from here. I like this place, anyway.
They're for the side windows. So I found them on the Buy Parts site, $77 and change. Is that for each window, or for the set of 4? The picture shows a stack of coils but I can't tell if its a single coil or multiple ones... |

I've actually had good luck with the JC Whitney "generic" window channel rubber. My experience has shown it to be of good quality, but I don't know for a fact that they have one suitable for a Merc in this case. I've used some in the past for other vehicles, one of which was still in good condition after ten years on a truck that sat outside its entire life. No complaints here with the window channel stuff they sell, especially since it seems to be good quality for a low price. Of course, that doesn't mean all their products are good.

That is for one door weather stripping. Is that what you're needing or is it the window channel? John

I guess it's the window channel. The doors seem fine, but where the window goes into the door is all eroded.

If it's the window channel, try matching it against what JC Whitney has to offer. Previous has had good luck with their products.
