Long time lurker, first time poster
Just wanted to chime in and introduce myself. I purchased an '83 300D turbo back at the beginning of September and have slowly been putting it back into a decent running order. So far this site has been very helpful as I learn my way around the car and have done all the basic maintenance to get it up to speed. As I get more into the serious renovations, I'm sure I'll be back even more.
I notice a few familiar names from the Atlanta area. If you couldn't tell by the signature, I'm generally a BMW man, but I picked up my 123 on whim (lowball eBay bud that I didn't think would go through) and have enjoyed wrenching on it so far. I'm always up for meets and the like in the area, so if any happen, please let me know.
Here's the only picture of the beast I have. It doesn't do it justice, as the paint on the horizontal surfaces is much worse in real life (I also have a set of sweet whitewalls on it now)
