Body kit or no body kit?

http://www.wickedbodies.net/generic440.html

Or a period AMG if I can find one.

Do LWB W126's look good with body kits, dropped about 1.5in, darker tints, Bosch Euro's, post 86 euro wipers, post 86 euro bumpers, clear corners and clear tail lights?

I figure since the car is slow, it might as well look cool/fast!

This is pretty much what I want to make my car look like:

Notice it doesn't have a body kit, and its at the stock ride hieght. Those side blinkers are cool, forgot those, adding those.

I could also just do a 560SEC front bumper, so I can get the lower fog lights, and lower it slightly. Put HID kits in the euro's, and it would look mean at night.

I like the 2nd picture. Though I've never been much of a fan of the clear turn signal/sidemarker/rear light lens look.

A 560SEC looks great usually with some added stuff here and there but usually full body kits just look too cheesy and plasticy to be on a Benz.

if your going with a body kit go with an Authentic AMG body kit. NOT the cheapo Erbauni copy that cracks every time you put a finger on it.

I say stock with aesthetic upgrades on a W126 like the one in the second pic

Save the body kits for AMG's that are actually fast and ricers.

They looked okay in the Crocket and Tubbs days.

You can achieve 90% of the look and none of the rice-ness by fitting Euro bumpers and lowering.

Yeah thats what I'm thinking. Maybe a 560SEC front bumper cover as well to get the lower fog lights and a little meaner look.

i might consider a body kit or wing for my 126 when its so fast i have trouble keeping it on the ground, which is gonna be....never.

i dont especially like all the plastic on the 126 tho- id really like to see one where the kick panels have been removed. maybe some plain chrome bumpers, or no bumpers and a roll pan?

you need to paint EVERY chrom part black except for the laurel wreath.

Make it look like that and it'll be complete. BTW, that can't be the stock ride height.....

I would never attempt to have a car made to look like that UNLESS the performance were to match.

It just ain't right, man.

When I have a spare $30k laying around I'll get a 560SEC AMG Hammer Wide Body, with the quad cam 6.0L V8. It will come with everything as a package.

Probably importated from Japan, because thats where all the best old MB's seem to come from, reading the manual in kanji will be a PITA though.

Hey, they aren't for me but it is a free country, whatever cranks your mojo, man.

I always just had enough trouble getting and keeping them running in totally stock condition!
