Do you have enough room for a boom truck - accounting for overhead clearance (power lines etc...)?? I did that in February to remove the 427's from my boat. See attached.

Attach an adjustable bridle to the engine so you can change the pitch on the engine as you go. If you've got a rental company nearby, you may be able to find such a crane. In my case, I borrowed one from a construction company across the street from the yard.

I saw them yank a block out of an Ocean 53. First they took a saw to the side of the hull and slit it open like a can. Then a fork lift goes in and picks the engine up.

What kind of boat is that? Looks like a 60's Owens from the back.
