I guess Mercedes will be quite happy if all Canadians sold their Mercedes cars and bought BMWs or Hondas, since M-B will not let us get EPC access. Its stuff like this that really bugs me when it comes to customer service.

It appears that you still have to enter credit card info even if you choose the free subscription. Is everyone else getting that?

Outstanding
What a x-mas present.
This will save me from burning the fuel to go to the dealer trying to sort through parts. Wonder how long it will be before all manufacturers put this on the net. Hopefully, Honda will make it available soon.

Me To

All subscribed and signed up and I can download it. But I find, at least at this point that it is quite difficult to operate. In reading the "Main Page", they show you what numbers to enter and then say "back" with that arrow at the top of a 90 degree angle. What does that mean? It is probably pretty simple, but it misses me. Thanks, but I need some help.

Since it is free, how about set me up with a user name and password so I can have access.

I am not sure the folks at MB Canada realize that our having this information saves their staff time, not having to look up part numbers. Most owners who want access to EPC are very knowledgeable about their cars and, like me, probably want to make sure they get the right part the first time.

Anyways, enough ranting. Any help with this problem is really appreciated.

Got a response...

No subscription price adjustment for recent new paying customers. I understand their point of view and have no issue.

Same reply. At least it was $20 and not $200.

Sorry to hear about those of you who had to pay for what the rest of us are getting for free.
This site seems better than the unofficial Russian EPC site I had been using. Time will be the true test. The Russian site didn't have any of the US turbo diesel models so I had to cross reference with the turbo diesel wagon model.

Does the online EPC conflict in any way with the operation of repair manuals or old versions of the EPC already installed on the computer? Was wondering so I don't mess up what I already have installed.
