yeah, I wish it was in the same place as on a 300D....oh well.
I will at least remove the battery, not sure if I want to un-do the false bukhead though, I'll decide when I am actually working on it, but I will probably unbolt and move it over a little. I still don't get why it did not blow my 1A fuse I put in there. Kinda odd. It needs to be replaced either way, as it made bad sounds for a long time....

And speaking of monovalves, check out this W126 EURO monovalve....must only be on certain cars, the one I pulled from a euro 500sel in the u-pick was identical to the US version. From the looks of it I am thinking its a "dual" monovalve for independent driver/passenger heat selections. Pretty nifty, and probably SUPER expensive to replace.

One thing I need to do and everyone should be aware of if your going with a monovalve replacement like my setup. Install a one way vacuum valve in the line so vacuum cannot reverse when you shut the engine off!
![]() If you don't, your engine will not shut down like it's supposed to if you just shut down the climate control and turn the motor off at the same time! ![]() The vacuum from the heater valve will return into the line to the vacuum pump and accessories and neutralise the shut down procedure! ![]() If you shut off the climate control and wait a few seconds before turning the motor off, no problem! ![]() |
