Rebuilding / dissassembling blower fan 1978 240d
i did a few searches and found plenty on removing and testing the bloody thing, but how is it that you get into the motor in the first place? the thing looks pretty contained. if anyone has a link to the step-by-step for replacing brushes, that would be awesome, or any other information on opening this thing up. we know that there is voltage at the connectors to the fan.
please, help! we can't drive the benz without a blower in this michigan winter- defrost is very very important (and we're turning into human-cicles!). thanks!

id say just buy a new one but they seem kinda pricey .. do you have automatic climate control on that model ?

yeah, i can't afford a new one, that's one of the problems.
no, the 78 doesn't have the auto climate control. saw the thread about the brushes. we're still trying to get the thing apart to access the main pieces of the motor.... thanks folks, for the advice so far! this is a bit of a troublesome problem!
