Triple on the AC adapter. If our cars are to survive in the market, a decent R134 conversion kit is needed. New parallel flow condensor and compressor with bracket!

Make that 4 for the AC compressor brackets.

The previous owner had the R134 conversion done on it back in 2001. However, the compressor is siezed up, and based on the prices I've seen for replacements, I planned on leaving it that way for now - maybe for good...

BUT, if I could replace it with a universal R134 compressor for less than $120, I'd jump on that in a heartbeat!

*bump to the top*

What compressor do the later models use? The W210TD A/C freezes me out when I ride in them. A W210 A/C retrofit kit - total: comp. cond. evap.(?) accum. - would not be a bad in my opinion.

with using a newer a/c compressor wouldn't you run into a difference in belt pulleys? i.e. v-groove vs. flat ribbed belts

Changing the whole thing except the evaporator does not seem to be an herculean task. However finding a system that would work with the stock evaporator may be a little more difficult.
I really would not like to have to change the evaporator. Because in that case the fabrication and retrofit becomes absolutely daunting (pretty much everything under the dash has to change).
