Question 603engine

I have a 93 300sd w140 .110,000 mi ,On the clock, with every ones favorite motor the 603.971 it runs pretty good for such a heavy car, I was wondering what I could do to give it a little more power and increase the longevity? I am really use to the 617 on my 85 SD witch a had running so sweet! Can I disconnect the egr without any lights coming on ?? or can I boost up the turbo a couple of psi? Or do I run the risk of the ultimate 603 Death? and should leave it alone ?
Thanks, J

put a BB in the line to the egr valve? Do not disconnect the electronics.

My 2 cents worth.
If Bosio makes spray nozzles for your car; I have read that the are noiser at idle but people say the car feels peppier when you step on the pedal. I notice you have 110,000 miles on your car; if the injectors have not been checked before it might be time to have them checked.
If you can find some place it put it a bypass oil system with a 2 micron absolute oil filter will reduce the number of wear causing particles circulating in your engine oil.

Part number? We don need no steenkeeng part number! I took what parts I had in the garage and bent and twisted what I had to to make it work. No kidding.

As for the ALDA, remove it and go for a drive. That's as much power as you're going to get by adjusting the ALDA. then decide if you want to make adjustments.

Lots of folks run without the ALDA. Your right foot will determine how much smoke you leave behind and you might have to tweak the transmission modulator since the pedal input profile will be different without the ALDA backing off fuel delivery.

gsxr's preferred method is to slip a shim between the ALDA and the IP. It's more work to sand shims to size but you can keep things so there isn't an offensive amount of smoke when you floor the pedal.
