remember Old Navy's oil separator tube fix?

All,

Some years ago Old Navy removed the oil drain tube from his air cleaner housing to the block, and replaced it with 9/16" vinyl tubing.

I'm looking at a similar fix on my 300D. Has anyone tried this, what type of hose did you use, was there ever a heat issue, and how long did the fix last?

Let me now if you've done this repair, I'm curious about the long term implications.

I just started a new job that requires a 650 mile/week commute and I'll need to get the leaks under control. I've used the stock orings and they don't work that well.

Thanks to All,
Nate
