Yup, Thats a PES 55 M pump....

Ive never seen a MW pump in these parts!

Wonder why they used a different pump for the U.S cars....?

it had some work done. the IP had a punch and the block had a punch and you could see it was advanced slightly. someone was trying to make a race car

are those manifolds worth anything? I was tempted to pull those after the bumpers but they kicked me out at 6pm

I'm pretty sure my euro wagon doesn't have an M pump. Mine looks like most others I've seen out there. Its a turbo and an auto.

No. That is one hacked, jacked up intake manifold! What is up with the additional inlet on the top! All that forced air is going to go out through it.

it looked like it went back into the inside portion of the filter housing with a valve of some kind on the bottom of the housing. to be honest I didnt think about it because I was hurrying to get the IP and the bumpers before they closed.

Sorry for my ignorance but what is the difference between a standard Bosch IP and A M-Pump? Aside from I didn't see an ALDA on the M-Pump? ...and what are the advantages of an M-Pump? I'm jsut curious why the GURUs liked having this kind of pump.....

M pump is more easily modified. It was also used on the om60X line. I could drive my NA euro at 110mph all day. My NA Fed was like 95 max with needle buried.

No need to do that on the 61x. Remove the mounting bolts and fuel hardware and it slides straight out. Don't even need to remove the vacuum pump.

As winmutt pointed out, the m-pump has more performance parts available for it that can pump enough fuel to produce more than 140hp. You should be able to get at least $250 for a used M-pump, even up to $1000 if you find the right buyer that wants it bad enough.

That exhaust manifold can be valuable too since it does not have the EGR port.

yeh, I removed the radiator, fan, and then the vacuum pump, then removed the center bolt on the vacuum pump, (thoroughly confused since it was right hand thread) then couldnt find the bolts for the pump. so i looked again and then removed the nuts and pulled it off. I will know next time........

Got one identified

Perfect timing for this thread. I'm here (undisclosed location.. lol) and I see these two different looking ip's. I wanted to know if I should pull them, and it appears I should pull at least the one that looks like an M pump. Any guesses at the other one? They are both 300d's, the M is on an 85 Euro, and the other one is on one that I don't remember. Thanks. Needed a 13mm wrench, and a 17mm.

The other one looks to be from a NA vehicle. Nevermind on that one, but I should definitely pull the other one, right?

Update. Got the M pump pulled, and shipped home. Hopefully I can beat UPS.
