junkyard euro 300d IP questions

there is a 300d euro parting out close to home. I scored a very nice triangle and clip. it has a different looking set of IP lines and the IP is very different. is this worth snagging? i will go get the bumpers this weekend, anything else I should look for? I was surprised to see it has a turbo, too bad its an auto which alos surprised me. the turbo had 2 plastic elbows instead of the normal accordian style connection to the air cleaner. also no EGR. is this stuff worth grabbing? turbo looked a little different too.

The IP is most likely an M Pump. Considering it has a turbo, then the that M pump is definitely worth it to grab.

tell me about the manual antenna? Should I look for that too. The front doors were power windows. I will get the vin tomorrow when I grab the pump.

If the cloth seats are in good condition, I would grab them. Also, sun visors, manual AC\Heat controls, MAYBE the manual windows --- at least the handles. Head lights? Definitely bumpers. Maybe the manual sunroof.

I try not to let any good parts go to the crusher.

No such thing as a turbo 300D euro. Get the VIN and the engine serial, that might be a euro 300TD engine. Now that would be a rare find.... Take pics if you can. I'd be interested in what kind of turbo as well.

If the antenna is mounted on the front right quarter panel you might want it.

removing the pump

The hardest part I found in removing an IP from a 603 was that the nut holding the front part to the chain (?) was reverse thread; CW to loosen.

Odometer in Kilometers?

Rear end?

OH --- radio!!!! Is it a shortwave??? If it is a Becker, make sure you get the VIN of the car.

No need to do that on the 61x. Remove the mounting bolts and fuel hardware and it slides straight out. Don't even need to remove the vacuum pump.

As winmutt pointed out, the m-pump has more performance parts available for it that can pump enough fuel to produce more than 140hp. You should be able to get at least $250 for a used M-pump, even up to $1000 if you find the right buyer that wants it bad enough.

That exhaust manifold can be valuable too since it does not have the EGR port.

yeh, I removed the radiator, fan, and then the vacuum pump, then removed the center bolt on the vacuum pump, (thoroughly confused since it was right hand thread) then couldnt find the bolts for the pump. so i looked again and then removed the nuts and pulled it off. I will know next time........

Got one identified

Perfect timing for this thread. I'm here (undisclosed location.. lol) and I see these two different looking ip's. I wanted to know if I should pull them, and it appears I should pull at least the one that looks like an M pump. Any guesses at the other one? They are both 300d's, the M is on an 85 Euro, and the other one is on one that I don't remember. Thanks. Needed a 13mm wrench, and a 17mm.

The other one looks to be from a NA vehicle. Nevermind on that one, but I should definitely pull the other one, right?

Update. Got the M pump pulled, and shipped home. Hopefully I can beat UPS.
