190d

Transmission is bad in 190d. It is auto and I need to know if I can replace it with trans from another MB (auto) or would it be more practial to have mine rebuilt. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

You can usually go either way, source a rebuild from a quality rated place that does MB/euro work, and do an exchange, or find a shop willing to rebuild it. Cost might be higher for a local rebuild, but thats generally a better route to go.

If you can find another car like yours that has a good donor trans, you could do that too.
