True, also on the plus side, the number of strong arm robberies at the scrapyards in Philly have really dropped off.

Trim pieces, glass and special brackets would still be fine

maybe depending on how long it has been there, but the combination of cool nights and humidity there can pit chrome in a year. brackets and engine condition would depend on the condition before they were parked. if it happened to have bad oil leaks that would help it in this case. dont get me wrong, I would do a walk through, but I would keep my expectations low.

If I had room, I would go for a finny or two.
Also it looked like there was an Adenauer or two

There are no 5 spds because they found a good home (although not free). One of them is the 87 5 spd conversion in signature below

They updated the story that the lady that owns the junkyard is not selling any of the cars.

it was then updated again, after that.
Update: We just heard from Rebecca, owner of European Connection (the junkyard in the photos), and she states "I took the business over, over a year ago and I am not selling nor am I crushing." So, big sigh of relief for the uncrushed Mercedes-Benzes! Yet another update: These cars and parts are for sale after all. Call European Connection at 800-395-8636 or email Rebecca. |
