If I had room, I would go for a finny or two.

Also it looked like there was an Adenauer or two

maybe depending on how long it has been there, but the combination of cool nights and humidity there can pit chrome in a year. brackets and engine condition would depend on the condition before they were parked. if it happened to have bad oil leaks that would help it in this case. dont get me wrong, I would do a walk through, but I would keep my expectations low.

Yeah there is nothing left of those cars. Someone who knows what they are looking at should probably go through them just in case they try to crush some rare AMG bits, or 15in bundts.

It would be nice to come across something like that, I'd take one of those euro bumpers off for my car if I could get it for free.

The bottom has fallen out of the scrap markets, now is not the time to indiscriminately crush. Steel and iron prices are down 80% in the last 5 months.

There are no 5 spds because they found a good home (although not free). One of them is the 87 5 spd conversion in signature below I purchased conversion "kit" from previous owner of the yard. Bernard included every bolt, nut and clip, plus some other parts I didn't even know I had to have.

I've been there, and the place is real, and the people are nice. I picked up some very nice unmarked 6.5" Bundts (probably spares) there, at a good price. I saw two skids(!) of not-so nice bundts going to scrap for aluminum.

The flood they had was unbelievable. It's in a narrow valley and the line on the wall may have been 9-12 ft high from the building, which is considerably above the street!

True, also on the plus side, the number of strong arm robberies at the scrapyards in Philly have really dropped off.
