Looks like a bunch of old junk to me. Finding a w123/w124/w126 fender isn't difficult, you know the interiors on those things have to be shot, and I'd bet most of the engines aren't worth saving. It'd be nice to have someone of MB interest go through it just before crushing to ensure nothing worthwhile gets trashed, but from what I'm seeing in the pics, most of it is just plain old MBs that were left to die in a field.

The most important thing is probably to convince the owner of the parts value of all those cars....theres some good looking classic stuff sitting out there!

Yeah! Imagine an army of forum members, 100+ strong, armed with hundreds of tool boxes and a semi trailer ready to be filled! That'd be quite a sight!

having parted cars from a field in Ohio Im inclined to agree. one winter and summer in the tall grass will lay to waste anything of value. and critters love to nest in old field cars too so you can write off the interiors before wasting gas money there. maybe, if you can pick the mud out of the tranny or rears they might be ok if you have time and liquid wrench, engines probably not so much, they will be rusted solid and the bolts will just break off.

i just called them and.....

the lady that answered the phone said that was not true. she reassured me that they were not crushing the cars..

if i find out otherwise i'll drive to the yard as i'm about 2.5 hrs away.

someone else could call them and see what they find out....

the number is 859-654-8632

Yeah there is nothing left of those cars. Someone who knows what they are looking at should probably go through them just in case they try to crush some rare AMG bits, or 15in bundts.

It would be nice to come across something like that, I'd take one of those euro bumpers off for my car if I could get it for free.

The bottom has fallen out of the scrap markets, now is not the time to indiscriminately crush. Steel and iron prices are down 80% in the last 5 months.

True, also on the plus side, the number of strong arm robberies at the scrapyards in Philly have really dropped off.
