IT LIVES!!!!

Bob pulled a starter from one of his many junk cars with a recent Bosch Remanufactured sticker on it. With ALOT of cranking, it sprung to life. After a warm up and fluid double check, we put a tag on it and drove it down the road. The turbo lag is almost nonexistent and it feels faster than Ol' Turbo.

The only issues were completely collapsed motor mounts, and bad brakes. Everything else I checked worked perfectly.

He's willing to put in new mounts, address the brake issues, and sell it to me for about what I thought.

Being the evil salesmen he is, Bob told me that if I don't buy it, he's going to part it out immediately, because one of his customers (that I know) needs a good 617 for his W126 after a botched oil change.

It would help to know how much someone is willing to give me for the wheels. PM me if you're interested with an offer.

Currently driving a very clean 1985 300SD from the West Coast.

The yards here are full of nice rust free examples whos only issue was an incompetent owner. If you have a blue dash PM me. I do not know how hard they are to remove.

I got a text message early this morning from Bob, and he is willing to sell the car for $1200. Given its amazing mechanical and exterior condition, it was a no brainer.

Omg...you're going to need a storage facility for all of these cars pretty soon! Sounds like the car is in decent enough condition to flip and make quite a profit.
