I did actually. I was at work during the crash and I didn't think anything of the sirens until somebody told me what happened. Yes, I flew on a 737 too.

I knew someone on the 73 that crashed in denver due to the uncommanded rudder-hardover problem that Boeing at best sort of admitted too. I'd still take my chances on the most successful airframe ever.
