1st to last
brown 78 300cd -sold -shipped to California ,he sold it on Ebay
lite blue 83 300cd - driven daily
dk blue 85 300cd -trans needed,my cleanest example
blk 84 300cd - rough rider, recently swapped my 190d for ,hail damage /needs front end work bad.
Coupes seem to be alittle more nimbel around corners then the 300d models,my 83 lite blue has the 99clk wheel swap ,handles great around corners. The trade off though is more window issues,Mine seem to all have the dreaded window alignment issues, Im getting better at that rebuild though.

scouting....

As a few of you know, I spotted a 300CD a few months ago. Parked. Dirt like half way up on the wheels, but no weeds growing around it nor thru the hood, backseat, nor the trunk. I talked to the sister of the man that owns it. He's had it for like 10-15 years.....he was going to fix it up.....never has got around to it.....and no he doesn't want to sell it.

I need to stop by again when she is NOT there and HE is there.

And, of course, a few of you know, I recently "found" a 280C(E), which I'm toying with the idea of performing a 617 swap. Why? Because it needs to be "recycled" into a living car, again.

'81 Non-turbo

I've had mine 2 years now. It's a bondo-baby (more accurately fiberglass-baby) but runs excellent. 175K miles on it now.

Had an 82 and an 83 (sold it twice).
Bought them together off ebay in 2003 and resold the 83. Got it back a few years later with a blown engine, put a new one in it and resold it again. Sold the 82 a few months after that.

I got my 1985 300CD this past September from the second owner who bought it in November of 1986.

It came with complete maintenance history and a FULL set of FSMs.

I LOVE it. It's my wife's daily driver and the wagon is my daily driver.

Thanks Jimmy. Looking out in my driveway makes me happy. I enjoy driving both my w123s, but I must admit that driving the CD makes me smile a little more.
