I have a 1984 bought it with 129,000 miles about 4 months ago it now has 133,000 mile on it. It is my daily driver 27 miles to work one way.
I have redone the dash and replaced the theromstat. I tighten the alternator today noticed the belts making noise and the temp and fuel gauge were a little erratic not sure if that was the problem will fined out tomorrow.
everything works except the back up lights, shifter light and hazard lights.
It is running on 100% biodiesel The middle east can kiss my ass

I did not want a CD, but that's all I could find when I was looking. The last one I looked at was too good of a deal to pass up. I wanted to trade for a 4-door for a while, but after putting so much work into this one...it will be hard to find one in good enough condition. I don't want to do all that work again.

I have an 82 with a four speed conversion. My #4 lovely daughter has it at Ball State and is really fond of it. She calls it Neville. It has a rebuilt motor and runs and drives really well. Its interior is getting pretty tattered (leather). The body is virtually rust free but is oxodized. It will buff up if you work at it though. Its navy blue. It has about 190K miles IIRC.

I used to really dislike the look of the coupe W123. It just looked "wrong" for some reason. I thought it looked so much better in a sedan.
I've kind of changed my mind in the last couple of years and have decided I like the look of the coupe now. Go figure.....

Funny, it was just the opposite for me. As soon as I figured out that a W123 was what I wanted, I knew I wanted a coupe if I could find a decent one I could afford. Something about their style just looks so right to me. The general shape and overall proportions kinda' remind me of the 2nd generation 'Cuda notch back coupes. One of the sweetest looking musclecars ever IMO...

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the looks of the sedans either, and I'm sure I'll end up getting one of those too, eventually.

That top one does look sweet, doesn't it!!!
I think my issue was the W123 vs the R107. [isn't that the SL chassis?]
But I have come full circle and would have no problem at all adding one to the fleet. Well, maybe one problem......

I'm with you! Gorgeous! The fast back looks good, but WOW!

I like the pure looks of the cuda fastback better, but whenever I see a notch back I think of the drag racers since it was lighter and thats what they all used.

Hey Jack, does this make you sick or is it only when the coupes are out in the snow?

My CD is in the garage now, but only so in case it snows tonight I won't have to clean it off in the morning before my wife leaves for work.

1980 300cd non-turbo, 134k miles, Gold with Henna Red leather interior, working evil servo system and r12 A/C. Garaged for the winter, while my other, non-MB coupe takes the salt punishment.
