There in lay the problem. Sunny warm climate breeding the missconception (pushed by sleezy kit makers) that not really needing effcient thinning (heat or blend) was nessicary in such climate. Add to that people who are typically the poor maintance type along with improper engine timing for the fuel being used, and whala.... ingredients for coked engines.
