If "T" still stands for wagon where is the "T" in newer wagons? We are not discussing technical terms- we are referring to the car's common name. Lance, myself and every other person knew exactly what particular car this thread is about- and it was called a 300TD. I'm not making a call about what the world does- or if it's right or wrong. It's what is done. Benzworld's header on the chassis uses it- and virtually everybody with this car also knows it as a 300TD or E300TD. Lance's helmet is screwed on a bit tight with his need to be technically correct all the time.

WOW!!. A lot of panties in a wad over that, ... and technically, isn't it an E 300 anyway? My cars all have a larger space between the E and 3, ...

Stirring the pot is fun.

If the sedan and coupe have trunks, what is the proper name for the 5th door (rear) on the TD? I did not know the TD had a trunk.

If no trunk on the TD, then how does the "trunk" badge of truth fit?

Just stirring the pot for Jimmy!

Oh, and any engine can throw a rod...

Sometimes I want to throw a rod, with a sharp point on it.

Save that rod so I can through it at Ralph next time I see him!!

William, it isn't a good argument stance when you start off saying what Benzworld does......

Wow, now we have a rogue "space" to concern ourselves with. Mog, I thought you were the apostrophe guy.

And at least Ralpie is right about one thing: any engine can throw a rod.....

Man....throwing a rod at me does not answer the question...how does the trunk badge of truth work on the wagon? Jimmy, I saw a white '95 E 300 for ya...

You have the space, and the apostophe, ... trying to put me out of work?!!

See Jimmy; no useful content. Is that bad? This thread is so far derailed the OP probably thinks Benzworld is informative.

This argument is disingenuous. There is nothing in the topic of THIS thread which would lead anyone to believe that there may be a wagon involved, or if it would matter.

However, the OTHER thread that I mentioned says TD in the title, yet nobody decided it was time to derail that thread. That thread is what you are describing, and not this one.

My marketing department decided long ago that "Rear hatch badge of truth" just didn't have the correct "pop" to help us with our campaign.....

I think in between the banter the OP's question has been answered. Any engine can throw a rod. Just as long as the OM603 in my garage doesn't throw one.
