Well mine sprays about an OZ a month so. I may think of rebuilding it to reduce the oil under the hood behind the light. It is a ZF pump.
I have the kit to rebuilt it that I got from Fastlane. He sent me what I need to reseal it. Shaft mechanical seal and a couple of O-ring I believe. I have been told they are a bear to rebuild if you don't get the vanes back to where they did not come from. It they are a bear to rebuild and a possible cluster ****, then I will take it to my mechanic who knows MB's and has done some work for me before. I have no special tools to boot. I think you need a special tool just to get the pulley off. Just curiuos if you all have done this and how hard it can be or should I just pay somebody to do it, if I take it to him. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
