Yes the seal can really be set it tight. If you need to pry it out be careful and go slow and do your prying on the OD of the seal away from the ground surface on the shaft which is the ID of the seal. Yes fairly easy but if not careful an easy job can turn into a U know what. Make like you are a dentist and you will do fine.

I never went to the vanes and that side was OK and Oring was fine. Now I have a spare pump which I guess is good.
