What kind of shape is the ignition lock in? I could really use one - including the column lock assembly - if it will fit a W123...

Back to the original question of what you should keep..... I generally strip everything I can before I crush a car, and even then I have found myself agonizing about that small part that I should have removed and now have to buy. If you have a shed or garage, remove engine, trans, rear diff, if not strip the IP, injectors, radiator, accessories off the engine. Make sure you get all the relays, switches, window motors, and other small but expensive gadgets off, most of this stuff will fit in medium size boxes. Get the calipers, rotors, and the brake booster. Any bolts, screws, nuts, clips, clamps, vaccuum tees, or such that you can remove and keep in a small bucket will help you later on when you just need that one small item. It may seem like a little work, but you will be glad when you save $$$ later.
Sorry to hear about your vandalism. Sounds like society in general is much more tolerant of that kind of thing up there...around here those vandals probably would have left with some shotgun pellets to remind them not to come back.

Front suspension parts if tight. Upper control arm and swaybar bushings. Calipers, why not if they worked? Bag 'em and tag 'em!

Do that up there and YOU will go to jail for owning a gun, the criminals will go free. No castle doctrine in the great white north.
