I've done 135mph in my E300TD, at which point the limiter came on. Which was annoying, I can tell you.
he was going, at minimum, 40 MPH over the speed limit. People don't regularly go nearly that much over the speed limit here. In Florida, it's a minimum $1000 fine and you'll likely get the details worked out from a jail cell.

Really...

More herd mentality scare tactics.

BAAAAHHHHHH, BAAAAAHHHHHHH!

That was your mommy calling you back to the herd.

How dare you venture out to challenge a loner!

That's a shame. I'm a great believer in setting an appropriate speed for the conditions, and not at what a number on a stick says.

BTW the national speed limit in the UK is 70mph. Traffic police won't even bat an eyelid if you're under 85mph.

Isn't that what the speed cameras are for?

Highway Patrolmen are the only human beings on earth that can handle the speed and then only in meticulously maintained Fords and Chevys.

Ours have class:

The Nighthawks task force has the v8 charger. It is easily the most impressive car on the road imo. I don't know what is under the hood but it certainly has forced induction.

It still beats the crap newer Impalas that many forces switched over to..0-60 is in the 9 second range!!!

I'm glad to see the cops getting some good cars. I hear the Crown Vics handle better than the older Impala / Caprice models, but obviously lack the oomph. The new Impalas are a joke, and look awful. The Chargers can be fast, and they look intimidating too!

No, they exist to make money, not to improve safety.

How many of those 3-series BMW's does Georgia have?

I doubt many.

So far I have seen a lot of the Chargers here in Texas but most are local cops/sheriffs.

DPS Troopers still have the Crown Vics and Tahoes.

About 15 years ago they also had Camaros and Mustangs.

But...let me summarize the top speed attained by W124 300D's listed here.

I got 115, somebody else admitted 94 and another admits 100 with lots left over.
