I am looking into these details. I like the idea of using the 603 tandem pump for the sls.
I am going to use the 722.6 as I am the guy from Seattle.
As far as using the stock boost control, what would be the problem if I had the computer? Is the boost control problematic or just a preference?
I am debating on buying a motor from the local salvage yard or buying a complete car. If the engine can work well without the computer then that would be interesting to me.

A dial-a-boost on the dash and a turbonetics delta gate!

Well I was looking at engine mounts for this and I was looking to see if anyone had some om603 mount arms out of a w126 chassis.

I might be able to help you. I've got a 300SDL parts car --- here's the link to the car:

I got a good look at the 603 arms and they will not work unfortunately. I have looked at a lot of different choices and none so far are a direct bolt in. I was looking to see if in other countries the 602 was ever installed in the w126 or even the m102 gas motor, but have not been able to find anything. I looked at a friends w123 with the m102 but it has very odd engine mount arms that will
not work. I am thinking that I am going to use w124 mounts and make some
adapter plates to bolt to. The engine also sits pretty far upfront and I will probably have to get another driveshaft or have a custom one made.
I was wondering if anyone has some more shots of any w123 with the 602 in it. The engine is significantly lighter than the 617 though. I am probably going
to have to cut the front springs.

Finally found some mount arms that will work. I have to make some spacers to get the spread right but the foreward and height is good. They are from a m111 in a c class. I still have to make a trans mount and get a new drive shaft but the hardest part is figured out. I will post some pictures. I was thinking of using the springs from the 230e cars as the engines probably weight close to the same.
Does anyone have the weight of the om617, 0m602, m102 engines handy.
I am super excited about this setup with the 722.6 with overdrive. I am probably going to install a 2.8 rear end to get the engine revs lower.

Got the car started tonight and backed in and out of the garage. I still have to do the exhaust and throttle cable and all the wiring. But I have the basic install
complete. The engine looks good in the bay and the transmission has no clearance issues. The shifter is not right but half bolts in. I will have to make new trim around it. I may actually go back to the stock shifter with a sensor on it. I will post some pictures this weekend.
