sway bar

after servicing all my fluids I decided so spray a little wd-40 on all the bolts on the front end. the next day every time i went over alittle bump it sounded like the front end was going to fall off. i pulled the splash shield off jack up the front end and nothing appeared loose. today i toke the sway bar off and replaced the rubber bushings as they looked like they might be loose. what i discovered was both end of the bar is worn. i haven't driven the car yet so i have no idea about the clunking. my question is is it normal for the ends of the sway bar to wear with only 133,000?
i also put some never seize compound on the bar for lubrication, should i have done that??
