The injectors still screw into the prechamber, correct? The 601, 602 and 603 originally received the threaded collars that were thicker than the 61x engine's. But they can be updated with splined collars to work just as well.

The thread dimensions for the prechambers and the collars have been noted as the same... but their placement on the injector body is in question.

I know for sure that the 602 and 603 thread into the prechamber with the finer threads... I assumed it was the same on the 601.


edit: I may be mistaken here, but I thought the injectors on the 601 were the same as the 602.

ok, guys. so, can i use 190d 115psi injectors on a w123 240d?

will they screw in? and if so, will they work? i'm not a diesel guru, but if you guys wanna argue about it, feel free.
