Wow! I wouldn't want to be sitting INSIDE the car when someone squeezes a few rounds off in a sealed compartment. For starters ruptured eardrums suck.

If anyone here has ever fired a weapon inside a building (shooting ranges don't count) you know what I'm talking about. "Bullet proofing" does not make the car indestructible. What it is supposed to do is afford the occupants of the vehicle the critical few seconds to absorb the initial attack and ESCAPE. However, if you want to bullet proof your car I would suggest 1/2 inch depleted uranium plates on all doors, undercarriage and roof. For the windows 3 in. ballistic glass. Granted, your car would now weigh about 12,000 lbs but it would be bullet proof.
