...More To The Story...

...Before I took the car on the 75 mile jaunt,...I had put a can of KW block sealer in the system...Again the car did not use any water after this...I have been driving it off and on and not losing any water...

...I had noticed something like a water mark on a new pair of shoes I have been wearing,...on the right shoe on the right side,...where my right foot would rub on on the panel to the right of the gas pedal...I just rubbed my finger on the bottom of this carpeted panel and it feels like it may have been saturated with antifreeze...I had been periodically smelling antifreeze inside the car until there was none left in the cooling system...

...Now I am wondering if the KW sealed up a leak in the heater core???...If so it still doesn't explain the black greasy oily residue showing up in the coolant resovoir....The previous owner is not sure if he had ever replaced the resovoir???...If he did it may have come from one of the self service wrecking yards near us and may have had some residue in it???...Although that is not his style to put on a contaminated part???...
