2006 C320 V6 3.0l W203 slow cold start

Can anyone tell me if the slow start for a 2006 merc C320 w203 is a characteristic of the V6?

I've had the car for a few weeks and it has always pre-heated for just a second or two, then turns over a good few times until I blip the throttle & the engine starts fine....... I'm used to my old C250 W202 which preheated and started no throttle on the first turn, even when it only had 4 glowplugs.

Cheers

James

Assuming the 06 is a diesel, it could possibly have a weak GP or two, or a minor fuel leak allowing some air into the system.

MB's party line would undoubtely be that as long as it auto starts before the end of auto crank cycle that it is fine.....
