Hello,

I am looking at a 1984 300SD to purchase. The owner states the front end had a total rebuild not too long ago which looks to be the case.

There is a noticable creak when going over speed bumps. The owner states his Indy says the springs are creaking and it was like that before the rebuild. Why would a spring make noise? Is that a sign they starting to go out and need to be replaced?
