? All four of our 617 powered cars have two of them. I had a worn out shock on one side of my engine so I just left it off when I reinstalled the motor in my car....makes no difference, though, probably since the shock was dead. I don't mind a small shake when I turn off the car....its perfectly smooth when running.

I stand corrected. I now believe all 617's imported here did come with two shocks. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Related question...
A related, but slightly different question to the crowd: how can I tell if the engine shocks on my car are good/bad.... is there a good test to figure out if they are worn or if they can be re-installed?!
Thanks James

90% of the time it is the upper/lower mounts that go bad... |
