Biased opinion

I must admit I wasn't all that keen on the colour when I bought the car but I NOW think it really suits the body style of a W123. It is just so of the time - very appropriate...

Here are some pictures of my motor - I think the combination of the Manganese Brown and the light tan leather interior looks particularly good.

I'd recommend getting one!

That's the color of my wagon. LOOOVE it. Also a fan of Orient Red, Cactus Green, English Red, and China Blue (is that what it's called?) for whatever it's worth.

Your car is the twin to my car, which was imported from the Netherlands with all the Euro goodies (they might be cousens) . Mines a five speed 240D with a Palomino interior, painted to match wheel covers, but the paint color is "Russet Brown" #427, looks in the pics to be close to "Manganese Brown', maybe a little darker, anyway I like the color allot.

I think there is enough 480-ers here that we need to start a club.

Club 480 is officially started....... Who's in!

Mine has recently been imported from Switzerland - where they tend to use 4X4s in the winter so normal cars get to last a bit longer there!

Definitely a fan of Manganese Brown. My neighbor had a
6.9 in that color. One of the most beautiful Benz ever
manufactured. Thanks

I have had two mangenese brown cars....a 300d and a 300sd. Love the color but not first choice to buy due to propensity to peel the clear and the difficulty of matching a metallic if there is damage to the body.
