Replace Front Control Arm Bushing
1987 300sdl
Can someone explain to me how the front control arm bushings work when your installing new ones. It looks like they are two bushings that come together to make one large bushing. I’ve replaced Honda control arm bushings and it was one large bushing that had to be hydraulically pressed into the control arm. Is it better off for me to simple just purchase a new upper and lower control arm or purchase the bushings and press them in myself. Is these something I can do with a vice, or do I need to take it to a machine shop for them to do the work? And what is the bushing called that the sway bar goes into the control arm. That thing is totally rotted out. Thanks for your help http://www.allpartsexpress.com/ShopByVehicle.epc?q=1987-MERCEDES--BENZ-300sdl--/--L6_3.0l_diesel_turbo-Front--End--/--Suspension--Steering&yearid=1987%40%401987&makeid=MERCEDES+BENZ%40%40MERCEDES+BENZ%40%40X&engineid=1194083%40%40300SDL++%2F+L6_3.0L_DIESEL_Turbo%40%40300SDL&catid=Front+End+%2F+Suspension+%26+Steering&subcatid=Front%20Control%20Arm%20Bushing&mode=PA
