I have a 1984 190D 2.2, 215,000 miles
It starts and runs fine from cold. If it is turned off after it is up to operating temp., it will not re-start. If I run a water hose on the IP to cool it down, it will re-start the same as it did from cold. I take this to mean that the pump is warn and needs a rebuild.

If anyone can present a different reason for this, I would be glad to hear it.

Is there a recommended re-builder?
