well, unless you are gonna seriously try to fix Betty.....what value do you think you can salvage out of her for parts and what is your time worth to pull and sell/use those parts?

I chopped my Porsche 914 after I crunched it cause i could get no takers, not even for a grand. and I had $$$$ invested in high performance parts and such. took me several months but i made most my $$$$ back but it did take a lot of my time too. But in that case I had no insurance offer so it was a total loss until i made some money back parting it out.

Probably not going to fix Betty. I was able to buy back for $330, so I'm not out much.

And nearly all of the parts will be salvaged for Puff.

The leather in Betty is in MUCH better condition and I've already started Leatherique on it.

I've pulled off a ton of other parts that I've already put on puff as well. The engine in Betty is outstanding. 178k on it with very little blowby and didn't eat oil.

I'm going to pull the drivetrain and perform all of the PITA maintenance on it and prepare it for reuse in Puff when this one decides it needs repair. Will be nice to have a hot stand-by engine.
