you don't seal the entire contraption, just the lid! the tube that extends into the intake plenum and the tube that drain the condensed oil into the oil pan still are very open. no issues with stalling the engine.

X2. That's what I did based on an old thread. Worked for me. I did bend the tabs up and remove the lid (I was curious what was inside). Cleaned all the parts and sealed it when I put it back together. I don't remember for sure, but I think I used polyurethane instead of silicone. Whatever I picked, I did so based on the product's oil and heat resistance.
